Welcome to JanusSafe. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the JanusSafe website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Nature of the Platform
JanusSafe provides contextual, place-based informational tools intended to support situational awareness and informed decision-making.
The Platform:

JanusSafe does not guarantee safety outcomes.
2. No Emergency Services; No Guarantee of Safety
JanusSafe is not a replacement for emergency services, law enforcement, medical services, or dispatch systems.
JanusSafe does not:

Guarantee the safety of any location or route

Guarantee avoidance of criminal activity

Predict specific events or threats

Provide real-time law enforcement protection
Users are solely responsible for their own decisions and actions.
In the event of an emergency, users should contact appropriate emergency services directly (e.g., 911 in the United States).
3. Route Comparison & Contextual Information
Route comparisons (e.g., Fastest Route vs. JanusSafe Route) are generated based on dynamic contextual inputs, which may include time-based, environmental, density, movement, and historical activity patterns.
All route comparisons are:

Provided for informational purposes only
JanusSafe does not assign permanent labels to neighborhoods or locations.
4. Emergency Assist
Emergency Assist features, where available:

Are activated solely at the user’s discretion

Operate only upon explicit user initiation
-
May transmit location and contextual information to designated recipients
JanusSafe does not automatically notify emergency services unless explicitly configured and supported.
Users are responsible for understanding how Emergency Assist functions before use.
5. Responder Role
By using the Platform, you agree:

Not to use the Platform for unlawful purposes

Not to misuse, reverse-engineer, or attempt to exploit system outputs

Not to rely solely on the Platform for personal safety decisions

To comply with applicable laws and regulations
6. Data Use & Public Records
JanusSafe may ingest publicly available data sources, including public records, to generate contextual signals.
Identifiable public record information is not exposed to civilian users.
JanusSafe does not monitor individual devices or track personal identities within its civilian-facing features.

7. User Responsibilities
By using the Platform, you agree:
